The Makeover Project> Merivale is complete

The Hunapo family arrived home today to a very different house-
with a mixture of traditions, moving hakas and meaningful speeches there was no shortage of tear at 28b Hampton terrace this afternoon.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers, businesses, cooks, neighbors, community workers, whanua you all made this happen.
Your sacrifice, generosity, enthusiasm, love, late nights and all round amazingness changed a families life forever. I cant express enough how enormous these last 11 days have been- thank you to my team, to the Hunapo Whanua, the mosaic community and merivale for an incredible week.

The video will be up tomorrow, Thanks everyone

Day 5- The Project is well underway

Hi there
So its day five- sorry it has taken me so long to update the site, it has been manic on the building site, a beautiful chaos! over 150 volunteers have come from any where between an hour or a couple of days to help. Neighbours, people that saw it in the paper, friends, family, PD workers, polytech students and much more have been a sample of the work force. Today the weather is less than ideal, in fact its rubbish and putting us a little behind schedule. We haven’t started on the landscaping yet, however the inside of the house is starting to take shape.
A huge thanks to everyone helping, bringing food and donating-
We still need $5000 to finish off, you can donate on this website site or bring a some money to the building site.

The address is 28b Hampton Terrace if you cant find us

A huge, giant, massive thank you to all of our partners and sponsors- check them out on the sponsors page

Thanks Tauranga- and dont forget to come down to the gold coin open home this Sunday the 11th from 11:00am till 1:00pm and the families arrival, house blessing and Hangi at 1:00pm we would love a huge turn out here for the family and media.
